force of the STATIC X

Static-X

Static-X are an American Industrial Metal band from Los AngelesCalifornia. They were formed in 1994. They are signed to Warner Bros. Records and have released six albums, their most recent being Cult of Static, which was released on March 17, 2009.
The band rose to fame with their debut album Wisconsin Death Trip, which went platinum in 2001. However, this is the only album they have released to date that has reached such sales level. Their sound incorporates elements of a sub-genre called industrial metal. Static-X often refer to themselves as "evil disco".

Static-X was founded in 1994 after the disbandment of Wayne Static and Ken Jay's former band Deep Blue Dream. Static and Jay originally met at the Chicago record store where Jay worked and were introduced to one another by Smashing Pumpkins vocalist Billy Corgan (the band also shared a rehearsal space with Smashing Pumpkins for a time). Once Deep Blue Dream folded, Static and Jay joined the Chicago metal band Stygian and recorded a demo under the band name Drill only to later move to Los Angeles to search for new band members. There, they met bassist Tony Campos and guitarist Koichi Fukuda, completing the band's original lineup. Originally, they were meant to be called the name of their debut album, Wisconsin Death Trip, but figured it was too long and went with Static-X.
Static-X signed with Warner Bros. Records in early 1998, and released their debut album, Wisconsin Death Trip, on March 23, 1999. Soon after, they released their first single "Push It", followed by "I'm with Stupid" and "Bled for Days" in 2000. Static-X toured strictly in support of the album and twice performed on Ozzfest. In the following year a promotional EPThe Death Trip Continues, was released, however this album was not available in stores. In 2001, Wisconsin Death Trip went platinum and is, to date, Static-X's only album to reach this success.
The band has contributed numerous tracks from this album to video game soundtracks and for other promotional applications. The song "Otsegolation" was used in the PlayStation video game, Omega Boost, where it is featured in the main menu and the final boss sequence. The song "Push It" is included in the games Street Skater 2 and Duke Nukem: Land of the Babes, both also for the PlayStation gaming console, and as downloadable content for the game Rock Band on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 gaming consoles. Most recently the song "Love Dump" was featured in the soundtrack to the 2009 action adventure game, Brütal Legendfor the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

NOBODY GET OUT ALIVE...

skindred. - nobody.

who gonna be alive?

skinny of the SKINDRED.

Skindred

Skindred is a Welsh metal band from Newport. The band was formed in 1998 following the disbandment of vocalist Benji Webbe's previous band, Dub War. Skindred's musical style mixes alternative rock, heavy metalpunk rock and reggae. The band also integrate elements of dancehallhardcoreskahip hopdrum and bass and various other influences into their music. The group refers to this style as "ragga metal".

Musical style

Skindred fuses heavy metalpunk rock and reggae influences. The band refers to this style as "Ragga metal". Benji Webbe has also jokingly referred to the band's musical style as "nu-reggae", in reference to the term nu metal.[8] During an interview with Benji he has said that in reality the band is their own genre of musical style and can't be placed in a specific category, a statment often said byprogressive rock and progressive metal artists. Although Skindred has sometimes been compared to Bad Brains, Webbe states that "To someone who doesn't know anything about reggae music, of course we're going to sound like Bad Brains. It's like someone who doesn't know anything about opera might say that Pavarotti sounds just like Mario Lanza. But when your ears are trained and you know what you're looking for, you're going to say, 'Shit no, Mario Lanza don't sound nothing like Pavarotti.'"

bridge of the ALTER BRIDGE...

Alter Bridge

Alter Bridge is an American rock band that was formed in 2004 in OrlandoFlorida by then-former Creed members, lead guitarist Mark Tremonti, bassist Brian Marshall, and drummer Scott Phillips. Lead vocalist and rhythm Myles Kennedy, formerly of The Mayfield Four and the current frontman of Slash's touring band, joined shortly afterward. The band is named after an actual bridge that used to be located in DetroitMichigan near Tremonti's home on Alter Road. The bridge led to a unsafe area, and the neighborhood children, who saw the other side of the bridge as the "unknown," were forbidden to cross it. According to Tremonti, the name of the band symbolizes choice and looking to the future.
Despite Creed's multi-platinum success, Alter Bridge arose with only gold status with their first album, One Day Remains, which was released in August 2004. It was followed by Blackbird in October 2007 and AB III in October 2010. However, despite the band's relatively low mainstream success in the United States, the individual members of Alter Bridge are known for their involvement with many notable side projects, including solo and session work, Creed, and Kennedy's collaborations with Slash and former members of Led Zeppelin.

Style and influences

Alter Bridge's music is often characterized and described as "heavy, yet melodic." Their music has been listed under several genres including hard rockalternative metalpost-grungeheavy metal, and progressive metal.[44][45] Alter Bridge has been compared to bands such as 3 Doors DownDefaultFive.Bolt.MainVelvet RevolverBlack Stone CherryCreedMetallicaBostonSubmersedStone Sour, and Sevendust. Alter Bridge cites several artists, including Led ZeppelinMetallicaJeff BuckleyIron MaidenGuns N' RosesSoundgardenAC/DCLiving Colour, and Slayer as influences.

head of the MUSHROOMHEAD..

Mushroomhead, Superbuick and M3

In 1993, Mushroomhead was established as a side project. To differentiate itself from the members' existing bands and to dispel any misconceptions about the group's sound and musical content, Mushroomhead used costumes, masks and pseudonyms. Mushroomhead played its first show in 1993. Days later, the octet found itself on stage alongside established metal band GWAR. "We played our first show on a Saturday" said the band's drummer, Skinny, in an article for Mushroomhead’s official website.[citation needed] “Three days later, we got a call to play with GWAR at the Cleveland Agora in front of 20,000 people – our second show ever!”.
In 1995, Mushroomhead released a self-financed debut album Mushroomhead, with their own record label, Filthy Hands Co. (also named as Mushroom Co.). For the members, Mushroomhead became a priority with their original bands breaking-up. Although the line-up saw many changes throughout the 1990s, the band stayed active, steadily releasing music and gaining followers. In 1996 they released Superbuick. In 1999, Mushroomhead released M3, which was the final album self-financed and self-released by the band. Original bass player, Joe 'Mr. Murdernickel' Kilcoyne, formerly of Mystik and the Spudmonsters, could be identified with his bald, pale faced vampire mask.

Image and style

The members of Mushroomhead have identified themselves by wearing masks and by its distinct “X Face” logo – commonly worn on the masks of most members, as well as clothing and merchandise. The band originally adopted masks and stage names to not conflict with their original bands. The band's look has evolved over the years, featuring alterations to bring them up to date and freshen up the image for new albums and tours.
Since 1999, Mushroomhead has had an on-and-off rivalry with Iowa-based band Slipknot. The feud erupted (mostly among fans) due to the image similarities between the bands; such as the masks and costumes worn on stage. Before signing Slipknot,Roadrunner Records were interested in signing Mushroomhead, but Mushroomhead passed on the deal. The rivalry is now officially over as confirmed in several interviews with Waylon, ST1TCH and Skinny. Recently Mushroomhead posted on their official Myspace page their thoughts about Paul Gray's death, they stated: "R.I.P. Paul Gray, This feud needs to end. Much Love and Respect to the guys in Slipknot".
Oderus Urungus of the band GWAR has said that GWAR is friends with Mushroomhead, and not all monster metal bands are enemies.
In reference to Mushroomheads style, Allmusic said, "reviewers have mentioned everyone from Marilyn Manson to Evanescence to Slipknot and Sevendust. But truth be told, Mushroomhead had a distinctive, recognizable sound (and a devoted cult following in Cleveland) long before Evanescence or Slipknot broke through commercially — and it would be a huge mistake to think that Mushroomhead is actually trying to emulate any other artists."
